Amid their ongoing search for a new head coach, the Carolina Panthers reportedly plan to bring in a pair of candidates for another round of interviews.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris and Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales are set for in-person interviews with the Panthers on Wednesday.

Carolina recently filled its general manager opening, promoting Dan Morgan to the position on Monday and adding the title of president of football operations. A former NFL linebacker who played seven seasons with the Panthers, Morgan spent the last three seasons as the team's assistant GM under Scott Fitterer, who was fired after this year's 2-15 campaign.

In addition to meeting with Morris and Canales, ESPN's David Newton noted that the Panthers had an in-person interview with their defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero after Morgan's promotion. Carolina had also planned to meet with former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, but he was hired as the Tennessee Titans' next head coach.

The Panthers have also shown interest in Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken and defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, all of whom had virtual interviews with the team last week. However, Carolina can't interview any of them again until after Sunday's respective conference championship games against the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Panthers have an uphill battle to improve their team this offseason, as they don't even own their first-round pick which is the No. 1 selection in the 2024 draft after trading it to the Chicago Bears last year. Getting a head coach in place is Carolina's next step to try to bounce back from a forgettable 2023 season.
