The 20-year-old became one of the most recognizable players in college football during the 2023 season, as his impressive play on both sides of the ball under Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders caught the attention of fans across the country.

Hunter suited up at both wide receiver and cornerback, showcasing his ability to remain effective even though he was initially playing a high volume of snaps. Despite appearing in just nine games due to a liver injury, he made his presence felt whenever he was on the field.

As a receiver. he hauled in 57 receptions for 721 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, he racked up 30 tackles, two tackles for loss, and three interceptions while recording five passes defensed.

Although the Buffaloes lost eight of their final nine games to close out the year, the strong individual play of Hunter and junior quarterback Shedeur Sanders has led to optimism that the program will continue to improve in the second year under the Pro Football Hall of Famer at head coach.

They'll also be getting some help for the 2024 season, as Colorado currently owns the No. 5 transfer portal class in the nation (per 247Sports).
