Cowboys' Micah Parsons, Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes Lead Lids' Top 10 Selling NFL Jerseys
February 6, 2024
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had the NFL's best-selling jerseys from sports apparel retailer Lids during the 2023 season.
Parsons led all players in jerseys sales across all Lids locations throughout the United States, followed by Mahomes. Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles, T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dak Prescott of the Cowboys rounded out the top five.
Top 10 NFL Jersey Sales From 2023 Season
- Micah Parsons, LB, Dallas Cowboys
- Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs
- Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
- T.J. Watt, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers
- Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
- Christian McCaffrey, RB, San Francisco 49ers
- Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins
- Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
- Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings
- Aaron Rodgers, QB, New York Jets
The power of the Cowboys in Texas carried Parsons to the top spot. It was the only state that he had the best-selling jersey. Hurts had the best-selling jersey in 13 different states, most among all players. Mahomes' jersey was the top seller in nine states.
McCaffrey, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, Mac Jones and D.K. Metcalf were the only other players who had the best-selling jersey in multiple states.
It's not a surprise that the top 10 is dominated by quarterbacks. Presumptive NFL MVP Lamar Jackson checked in at No. 8 on the list. Rodgers, despite playing only four snaps all season, still had the 10th-best selling jersey in his first year with the New York Jets.
Even though Rodgers was high on the list of sales, Lids noted the Giants actually sold more merchandise in the state of New York.
One notable name not in the top 10 is Travis Kelce, who seemed to get a bump in every other way this season thanks to his relationship with Taylor Swift. In fact, he didn't have the top-selling jersey in any of the 48 states that Lids has data from.
The Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers were the top two teams in merchandise sales. Dallas was the top merchandise-seller in seven states, with the Las Vegas Raiders in second place as the top seller in six states.
San Francisco dominated the list of embroidigraphs. McCaffrey, George Kittle and Nick Bosa all made the top 10. The Cowboys (Parsons and CeeDee Lamb) and Cincinnati Bengals (Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase) also had multiple players in the top 10.
