Super Bowl LVIII could be slightly similar to Super Bowl LIV. That's because for the second time in five years, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will be going head-to-head for the championship to end the NFL season.

However, both teams look a bit different than they did during the 2019 campaign. Some players remain on their rosters, but others weren't around when the previous Super Bowl meeting between these franchises occurred.

Either the Chiefs will win their third Super Bowl title in five years or the 49ers will capture their first championship since the 1994 season. It should be exciting to see how this year's Super Bowl matchup unfolds.

Here's everything you need to know for Super Bowl LVIII, followed by predictions for this season's big game.

Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes: 273 passing yards and three touchdowns

San Francisco QB Brock Purdy: 202 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions

Kansas City RB Isiah Pacheco: 91 rushing yards and a touchdown

San Francisco RB Christian McCaffrey: 107 total yards and a touchdown

Kansas City TE Travis Kelce: 70 receiving yards and a touchdown

San Francisco TE George Kittle: 55 receiving yards

Both teams are loaded with offensive playmakers, and that should lead to some big plays in Sunday's Super Bowl. While the defenses are solid, expect there to be plenty of offense.

On the Chiefs' side, experience will play a big factor. This stage is nothing new for the duo of Mahomes and Kelce (as well as some other key players), so they shouldn't have any trouble connecting as much as they have been throughout the playoffs.

Kelce, who has 23 catches and three touchdowns through three postseason games, will likely get into the end zone again in the season finale.

Pacheco should also play a big role on Kansas City's offense. San Francisco has been struggling to stop the run of late, allowing 266 total rushing yards over its first two playoff games. So Pacheco should capitalize on the favorable matchup for a strong showing.

McCaffrey will likely have an impressive performance, too. The 49ers have leaned on their star running back (who has scored four TDs in two playoff games), and that won't change.

This matchup could come down to quarterback play, though. And when that's the case, those games often go in Mahomes' favor.

Already a two-time Super Bowl MVP, Mahomes will likely rise to the occasion again. The 28-year-old QB will throw three touchdown passes in the Super Bowl for the second straight year, and his performance will be a huge factor in the game's decision.

HENDERSON, NEVADA - FEBRUARY 06: Head coach Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs speaks to the media during Kansas City Chiefs media availability ahead of Super Bowl LVIII at Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa on February 06, 2024 in Henderson, Nevada. (Photo by Chris Unger/Getty Images)

The Chiefs are slight betting underdogs against the 49ers, but that didn't stop them last year, when they beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. Why should it be any different in Super Bowl LVIII?

San Francisco is a strong team, but it has had trouble with slow starts so far in the playoffs. If that happens again, Kansas City could be better equipped to capitalize, thanks to its postseason experience under the leadership of head coach Andy Reid.

The prediction here is the Chiefs will jump out to an early lead Sunday and not look back. The game will be competitive, but Kansas City will be in control the entire way.

Every time the 49ers build some momentum, the Chiefs will match with big plays of their own. Their defense will make a couple of big plays to seal it late, and Mahomes will keep the offense steady throughout the Super Bowl.

For the third time in five years, Kansas City will be crowned Super Bowl champion.

    Prediction: Chiefs 34, 49ers 24
