The Kansas City Chiefs once again have some celebrating to do, as they defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime in Super Bowl LVIII for their second straight Super Bowl title and third in the last five years.

Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the rest of the Chiefs will be in a familiar position as they parade through the streets of Kansas City once again on Wednesday.

Per KSHB 41, the parade will start at 11 a.m. CT and will "follow a similar route to years past, heading south on Grand Boulevard through downtown Kansas City and before arriving at Kansas City's Union Station." The parade will be followed by a "party on the lawn of the National World War I Museum and Memorial in front of Union Station."

The Chiefs earned a gritty win over the 49ers in a game where they trailed by as many as 10 points and faced deficits both in the fourth quarter and overtime.

After the 49ers' opening drive in overtime ended with a field goal, Mahomes led a 13-play, 75-yard drive in the extra period that was capped by a three-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman to give the Chiefs the victory.

At this point, it's fair to consider Kansas City a dynasty in the modern era. Mahomes said after the game that he believes the team is already on its way to that status.

"It's the start of one, we're not done," he said after the game when asked if the Chiefs are a dynasty. "I know we're gonna celebrate tonight, celebrate at the parade Wednesday in Kansas City, but we're not done. We've got a young team, we're gonna keep this thing going."

That would be a welcome gift to Chiefs fans, all of whom can't wait to celebrate another title. Last year's reported final crowd attendance was believed to be "upwards of 1 million across the city," per KCUR 89.3.

These celebrations are starting to become the norm in Kansas City, and having Mahomes under center gives the Chiefs a solid chance of finding themselves right back in a position to do it all again next year and beyond.
