Ultimately, Murphy put forth a tremendous effort, and many people took notice.

Matt Miller @nfldraftscout

Byron Murphy II is ranked No. 13 on my board and I'm worried that's too low.

Cedric Golden @CedGolden

Texas product Byron Murphy II was already a first round pick before he clocked a 4.88 in the 40. Cha-ching. He just secured a very large bag. https://t.co/tvsurtg4Rt

Jordan Reid @Jordan_Reid

Byron Murphy II moves different and has been phenomenal in positional drills so far. Explosive with no wasted movement.

Byron Murphy looked like a fullback running his 40. Powerful and smooth.

Andre Johnson for NFL HOF Advocate @FondofHOUsports

I ran just a few splits seconds faster than Byron Murphy at my athletic peak…I was also 125 pounds lighter at that time. It's tough to fathom how a dude can move like that at that size, pic.twitter.com/faBXvqw5U3

CJ Vogel @CJVogel_OTF

A 33-inch vertical jump for DL Byron Murphy is tremendous.

Byron Murphy with a 4.88 40-time

It was nice while it lasted, will miss mocking him to the Houston Texans at Pick 23.

He's not making it out of the Top 20.

Murphy landed 27th overall to the Arizona Cardinals in the B/R NFL post-Senior Bowl mock draft. After Thursday, though, he could very well be moving on up.
