Georgia TE Brock Bowers Won't Work Out at 2024 NFL Combine
March 2, 2024
Georgia tight end Brock Bowers won't workout at the NFL Scouting Combine this week, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday.
Bowers, like many at this year's combine, will instead workout at his pro day at Georgia's campus on March 13, he said Thursday when asked whether he would participate in workouts at the combine.
Bowers, a projected first-round pick, had 714 yards receiving yards and six touchdowns last season for the Bulldogs.
In three years at Georgia, Bowers was among the top tight ends in the country. He had 882 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns his freshman season before notching 942 receiving yards and seven touchdowns his junior year. He was limited to 10 games his final year.
Bowers is considered to be the No. 2 overall player on Bleacher Report's 2024 NFL Draft Big Board with a grade of 9.3. Bleacher Report's Mock Draft has him off the board early, going to the Denver Broncos with the No. 12 pick.
This year's combine has seen several big-name players opting not to work out. USC quarterback Caleb Williams did not partake in drills and will instead work out at his pro day. Ohio State wide receiver Marvison Harrison Jr. will do the same.
