Video: Texas' Adonai Mitchell Runs 4.35-Second 40-Yard Dash at 2024 NFL Combine

2024 NFL Draft prospect Adonai Mitchell showcased his blazing speed at the NFL Combine.

The Texas Longhorns wide receiver ran a 4.35 40-yard dash on his first attempt during Saturday's testing. That was the fastest time among receivers on their first attempt.

Mitchell's overall testing during the combine was excellent and included a 2.55-second 20-yard split and a 39.5-inch vertical jump.

He is projected as a third-round pick by Bleacher Report's Derrik Klassen.

Mitchell began his collegiate career at Georgia where he had 38 catches for 506 yards across two seasons as the Bulldogs won two national championships.

He transferred to Texas for the 2023 season and saw an increased role. He totaled 55 catches for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns for a Longhorns team that reached the College Football Playoff.

Mitchell, at 6'4", 196 pounds, is in a loaded wide receiver class that includes Marvin Harrison Jr, Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze, among others. Mitchell's combine performance figures to help him rise up draft boards.

The 2024 NFL Draft is set to take place April 25-27 in Detroit, Michigan.
