Deion Sanders is all-in on the Baltimore Ravens in 2024.

The Colorado Buffaloes head coach voiced his approval for the Ravens signing running back Derrick Henry on X, and believes that he, alongside Lamar Jackson and a loaded Ravens offense, will be a daunting task to stop for opponents.

COACH PRIME @DeionSanders

The <a href="https://twitter.com/NBA?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@NBA</a> would've Blocked this move. WOW! This is epic but I hate the way we've allowed the RB position to be devalued. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/CoachPrime?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#CoachPrime</a>

While he is looking forward to seeing how well this signing works out, he dislikes "the way we've allowed the RB position to be devalued."

Henry signed a two-year, $16 million deal with the Ravens that has $9 million guaranteed. The deal is worth up to $20 million with incentives, and he will join a Baltimore team that went 13-4 and advanced to the AFC Championship in 2023.

He joins a position group that has Keaton Mitchell and Justice Hill and replaces Gus Edwards as the feature tailback. J.K. Dobbins was expected to be the main running back for the Ravens in 2023, but a torn Achilles in Week 1 ended his season and he now sits in free agency.

Henry is a major upgrade for Baltimore. He had 280 carries for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023 and was named to his fourth Pro Bowl. He has exceeded 1,000 yards in four of the past five seasons, with the only outlier being 2021 when he had 937 yards in eight games while he dealt with a foot injury.

He has more than 10 touchdowns in six consecutive seasons and will join an offense that ranked first in rushing in 2023. Baltimore was led in rushing yards by quarterback Lamar Jackson, and Henry's presence should take some load off of the reigning MVP.
