Jey Uso Beats Brother Jimmy Uso at WWE WrestleMania 40 After Entering with Lil Wayne
April 7, 2024
Jey Uso defeated his twin brother, Jimmy Uso, in a first-ever match between the two on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 on Saturday.
Lil Wayne notably accompanied the eventual winner out to the ring:

The twins had seemed destined to reconcile at one point in the match, but Jimmy used the moment to trick his brother.
However, Jey claimed victory after hitting a Spear and then an Uso Splash.
The bout marked only the third time in WWE history that biological brothers faced each other at WrestleMania, joining Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart from WrestleMania 10 and Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy from WrestleMania 25.
Jey and Jimmy made their WWE main roster debut together in 2010, and over the next 13 years they established themselves as one of the greatest tag teams in the history of WWE and pro wrestling as a whole.
The Usos beat Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Civil War match at Money in the Bank 2023, which set the stage for Jey to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam in Tribal Combat.
Just when it seemed Jey was about to beat Reigns and overtake his cousin for the role of Tribal Chief, Jimmy shockingly interfered and cost him the match.
Jimmy later explained that he was afraid of the power going to Jey's head and him becoming like Reigns, but when Jey officially left The Bloodline and SmackDown for Raw, Jimmy fully aligned himself with The Tribal Chief again.
In the weeks and months that followed, Jimmy cost Jey big matches on numerous occasions. Jimmy was responsible for Jey and Cody Rhodes dropping the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships to Damian Priest and Finn Bálor, and he also interfered during an Intercontinental Championship match between Jey and Gunther.
The loss to Gunther was the last straw for Jey, as he laid down a WrestleMania challenge to his brother on Raw a few weeks ago, and Jimmy accepted on the ensuing episode of SmackDown.
Both Jey and Jimmy spoke candidly in past interviews about their personal dream matches being a clash against each other at WrestleMania, and they finally got that opportunity this year.
Given the importance of the match to both competitors, it came as no surprise that they both went all-out, but it was Jey who emerged with the victory at The Showcase of the Immortals.
