NCAA Men's Tournament 2024: Dates, Tip Times, TV Schedule for Sweet 16 Matchups

The game times for the Sweet 16 round of the 2024 NCAA men's basketball tournament have been set.

The third round begins Thursday with a matchup between No. 6 Clemson and No. 2 Arizona, followed by No. 1 UConn taking on No. 5 San Diego State.

Later Thursday night will feature No. 4 Alabama vs. No. 1 North Carolina and No. 3 Illinois versus No. 2 Iowa State.

On Friday, No. 11 NC State will look to upset No. 2 Marquette while No. 5 Gonzaga takes on No. 1 Purdue.

Later Friday night, March Madness fans can watch No. 4 Duke take on No. 1 Houston, while No. 3 Creighton faces No. 2 Tennessee.

The results will determine which teams advance to the Elite Eight.

The men's tournament splits into four separate sites for the regional semifinals.

Fans located in Los Angeles are in for an early start to the round with a 4:09 p.m. local tipoff (7:09 p.m. ET) on Thursday.

Meanwhile, fans rooting for Illinois, Iowa State, Creighton or Tennessee should prepare for late-night starts on the East Coast as their teams wait for earlier games to finish before tipping off.

UConn and North Carolina will take the court in their respective matchups on Thursday night. Meanwhile, Purdue and Houston—the other two No. 1 seeds—will each play on Friday.
