Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have grown accustomed to the noise.

Since 2016, they have performed together as the Street Profits and have become one of the most prolific WWE tag teams of the modern era, leading fans to loudly wonder if it's time for Ford and Dawkins to try their hands as singles competitors.

While the Street Profits are confident they can excel regardless of whether they're together or apart, they have no plans of splitting up anytime soon.

"I feel like throughout the years we've never allowed the noise to get to us. ... Of course, they talk about it all the time with us, singles with him, singles with me, but they're not even looking at the stuff that we're still trying to accomplish as a tag team," Ford told Bleacher Report. "... And then if that opportunity does present itself, not only are we ready as a tag team, but we're ready as singles competitors as well because we've been preparing for the whole spectrum. But we don't let the noise get to us. We appreciate it, we love it, and we see it and hear it, but that focus never goes away."

"Everybody's seen us in singles [matches], so they know what it is," Dawkins added. "They know when that time comes, when we're both in the singles division or whatever, they know we're gonna show out no matter what. But right now, we're focused [on becoming] tag team champions."

The Street Profits are the first African American WWE Triple Crown Tag Team Champions, having held the Raw, SmackDown and NXT Tag Team Championships once each. They haven't held any titles in three years, and their chase for more gold was derailed recently.

With a spot in the six-pack ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 40 on the line, the Street Profits lost to Austin Theory and Grayson Waller on last Friday's episode of SmackDown Live, thanks in large part to a distraction from Karrion Kross and the Authors of Pain.

Along with B-Fab and former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, the Street Profits have feuded with the faction known as the Final Testament for the past few months. It was announced on Monday that the two groups will face off in a six-man tag team Philadelphia Street Fight at WrestleMania 40, which will take place this Saturday and Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

Ford and Dawkins have been working with Lashley since August, and they've picked up a lot from the future Hall of Famer who is known for having one of the best physiques in the business even at 47 years old.

"Working with Bobby's been fun, he's taught us a lot. We've been like sponges soaking up all knowledge and stuff like that," Dawkins said. "He's been teaching us how to go about life as a professional. To be able to do this as long as he's done it, we're trying to get to that level as well."

"Just look at him! You look at Bobby and you'd be like, 'Man, I want to be like that one day,'" Ford added. "As crazy as it sounds, I've been watching Bobby Lashley since I was in middle school, and he looks better now than he did when I was in middle school. So, I don't know what fountain of youth he's drinking from."

Lashley has likely been drinking C4 Ultimate Energy, which was announced as the official energy drink of WWE on Wednesday.

"As the first-ever Official Energy Drink Partner of WWE, C4 will receive prominent branding and exposure across a wide range of WWE properties and premium live events," a press release stated, adding that the company will be launching co-branded, WWE-inspired flavors of C4 Ultimate Energy Drinks like Ruthless Raspberry, Berry Powerbomb and Nectarine Guava Knockout.

The Street Profits said C4 has fueled their success for quite some time and sets them apart from other tag teams, solving the mystery of what's in Ford's signature red solo cup.

"I've actually been drinking C4 since I was in the military, in the fleet," said Ford, who served in the United States Marine Corps. "... That's why by us using C4, we've become the greatest tag team of all time. All those other tag teams, you don't see them using no C4. What are they using? Water? Coffee? Some other energy drinks that probably ain't selling off the rack? Nah. C4 gets the job done, and it's been getting the job done for the Street Profits for eight, nine years now. ... People always ask what's in the cup. It's C4."

Using C4 has also helped lead to an incredible body transformation for Dawkins, who shed 40 pounds recently and looks better than ever. In addition to adding new moves to his repertoire and moving faster in the ring, he's joined Ford in upgrading his wardrobe, though he admitted it took some time to get used to.

"It's a little hard, I'm a big hoodie, sweatpants guy, but everybody was looking forward to me wearing a suit," Dawkins said.

"Everybody?" Ford quipped.

"Yeah, everybody."

"Not me."

"Because you know I look better than you in a suit."

"I love his confidence."

Banter aside, the bond between the Street Profits is as strong as ever, and they believe their longevity has set them up to put on another classic performance at WrestleMania 40.

"We've seen everybody come through the waters, through the peaks and valleys, the highs and lows. Hell, we've even seen partners and tag teams split on each other, even brothers, The Usos even turned on each other," Ford said. "And the Street Profits are still here, so it just lets you know through the test of time, no matter if we're in a good area or a bad area, we're still together, we're still in these high-profile matches, and we're still showing up and doing our thing."
