Beyond their ability to fill out the stat sheet, Los Angeles Clippers star Russell Westbrook doesn't see many similarities between himself and Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokić.

Jokić posted a triple-double (36 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists) in a 102-100 loss to the Clippers on Thursday. After the game, Westbrook pushed back when told by a reporter the two-time MVP is "like you, he's a triple-double monster."

"Ain't nobody like me. Nobody like me," the veteran guard said. "... Nikola's a hell of a player. But he's not me and I'm not him."

Russell Westbrook was asked about playing against Nikola Jokic who is a "triple-double monster" like him.

Russ: "Ain't nobody like me. Nobody like me. We're gon stop that right there. Westbrook heaped plenty of praise on Jokić, lest anyone think he was taking a shot at the Nuggets star. His broad point was basically inarguable.

It's almost impossible to compare players who occupy two totally different positions on the court and have seven inches of height difference.

Using triple-doubles as the link between the pair doesn't really work, either, because Westbrook is in a class by himself for now. The 35-year-old is the all-time leader in the category (198) and has 69 more than Jokić.

There might come a time when Jokić is closing in on the record, though. He has had 72 triple-doubles over the last three seasons so he could feasibly average 20-plus over the next three years and overtake Westbrook.

But Russ isn't wrong for thinking he's a one-of-one talent.
