Video: LeBron James Laughs About Getting Crossed Over by JJ Redick, 'What the F--k'
April 10, 2024
LeBron James and JJ Redick may now host a podcast together, but the two weren't always on the same side.
On Wednesday's episode of the Mind the Game podcast, Redick brought up his crossover on James, then a player for the Miami Heat, during a March 13, 2012 game against Redick's Orlando Magic.
"What happened here?" Redick asked.
"What happened here is, I didn't know your ass could go stop-and-go like this, what the f--k," James laughed. "I didn't know that you had that in your arsenal....you turned me all the way around."
The comments from James and Redick are around the 47-minute mark of the video above.
Redick confused James and successfully got the shot off, although it careened off the basket with the Magic and Heat deadlocked 94-94 in overtime.
"If I had made that shot, I would have that highlight pinned on every social media account, at the very top of my account," Redick told James. "God, if I had made that shot... It's not a highlight. It should not be on YouTube."
"You know why it's on YouTube," James answered. "Because it's against f--king me. Everything is on YouTube if it's done against me, whether it's a highlight or not."
Despite Redick's missed shot, the Magic ended up winning the game 104-98.
It was James who got the final laugh that season. He was named both regular-season and Finals MVP while leading the Heat to a championship.
