The Houston Texans became the newest NFL team to change up their look ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

This is the first time the Texans have introduced a new uniform set since entering the league in 2002:

Team CEO Cal McNair emphasized the extent to which the organization wanted the look to reflect the regional identity.

"They are even more special because they are inspired by and for our fans," he said in Tuesday's press release. "Our fans asked us to be more H-Town and we delivered. They were with us every step of the way and there's truly something for everyone over the four uniforms."

For the most part, the jerseys offer a slightly different take on the Texans' established branding. The home, away and alternate tops largely match the color scheme of the old ones, with the numbering and the horns along the shoulder providing the biggest changes.

Houston's Color Rush unis do provide something new with the H-Town Blue outline around the numbers and the "H-Town" moniker below the front collar. A dedicated helmet accompanies the look.

The red alternate helmet also introduces a bullhorn design to replace the traditional logo that was emblazoned on the last iteration:

The reimagined threads come at a great time for the franchise.

The Texans were one of the biggest surprises from the 2023 season as they won 10 games and blew out the Cleveland Browns in the AFC Wild Card Round. Quarterback C.J. Stroud was a revelation as a rookie, throwing for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Stroud isn't the only young player who emerged and pointed toward a bright future, and trading for wide receiver Stefon Diggs was a sign of how the front office believes the roster is already prepared to take another big step forward.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans wasted little time in giving the team a new identity on the field, and now Houston has the jerseys to match.
