Video: Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase Shows Off New Diamond Grills Amid NFL Contract Rumors
May 1, 2024
Ja'Marr Chase is still waiting for a long-term contract from the Cincinnati Bengals, but he's going to look like a million bucks when it happens.
The star wide receiver showed off a new pair of custom-made diamond grills he purchased from Johnny Dang and Co.

Sportico noted the price for Chase's grill ranges between $4,000 to $40,000 "depending on the customization and diamond clarity."
Chase hasn't reached the most valuable year of his rookie contract yet, but he's still doing OK. The Bengals wideout has made more than $5 million in each of his first three seasons between his signing bonus and base salary.
Cincinnati recently picked up the fifth-year option on Chase's deal for 2025 that guarantees him $21.8 million. This offseason is the first time he's eligible to sign a long-term extension with the club.
The Bengals are also trying to find a resolution with Tee Higgins, who has requested a trade after being given the franchise tag. It doesn't sound like the two sides will be able to smooth things over.
Per Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Higgins hasn't had talks with the team in more than one year after their offer "never approached" $20 million per season. He's acknowledged the most likely scenario will be playing on the tag in 2024 and hitting free agency next offseason to get his long-term deal.
It may be awhile before Chase sits down with the Bengals to talk about a deal. He joked prior to a Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings that he needed to "see some more numbers from" Justin Jefferson, his former teammate at LSU, before pursuing his own deal.
Jefferson, who is entering the final season of his rookie contract, has said he wants to "break the bank" on a new deal.
A.J. Brown is currently the highest-paid receiver in the NFL by total guaranteed money ($84 million) and average annual salary ($32 million per season). Davante Adams leads the way in terms of total value on his five-year, $140 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Chase has recorded more than 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons. His 29 receiving touchdowns are tied for the third-most in the NFL since 2021.
