Bleacher Report catches you up on the latest news from WWE and AEW.

Becky Lynch Reportedly Still Not Re-Signed With WWE

Becky Lynch may be the WWE women's world champion, but her reign might be a short one.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported Lynch has still not signed a new WWE contract despite her current deal expiring at the end of May. The 37-year-old has been in negotiations for some time, but the two sides have not been able to come to terms.

Lynch is set to defend her world title against Liv Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring live event later this month. The overwhelming odds are Lynch will drop that title to Morgan if no new contract is reached.

Even if Lynch and WWE are playing a bit of negotiation chicken in contract talks, it would be a major surprise if she left. Her husband, Seth Rollins, just re-signed on a massive new contract. It feels unlikely that Lynch would want to separate from Rollins, and she told Ariel Helwani of the MMA Hour that she had no plans on wrestling for another promotion.

"I am so confident in my ability and my worth," Lynch said.

WWE wants to keep Lynch and she wants to stay, so we're willing to bank on this all being a negotiating ploy from both sides.

WWE Reportedly Knew of Bobby Lashley's Injury Days in Advance

Bobby Lashley withdrawing from the King of the Ring tournament due to injury may have been a surprise to fans, but it wasn't to WWE management.

Sapp reported WWE knew days in advance of Lashley suffering an injury before he was taken out of Friday's scheduled match against Toma Tonga.

"Yeah, they knew he was injured as of Monday, so him being removed isn't necessarily a big surprise within the company," Sapp said.

Lashley was replaced by Angelo Dawkins, who lost to Tonga in their first-round matchup. Sapp noted that Dawkins was likely chosen over Montez Ford as the replacement because Tonga was slated to advance.

There is no word on what type of injury Lashley suffered or how long he'll be out of action. Even it's a short-term absence, there was no use in putting Lashley in the ring to potentially aggravate the injury when he was slated to lose anyway.

While Lashley remains a physical marvel, he does turn 48 in July. It wouldn't be a surprise to see WWE start using Lashley more sparingly on the full-time schedule to extend his body's shelf life.

Cody Rhodes Reportedly Makes Top 10 of Fanatics Merch Sellers Across All Sports

Cody Rhodes' popularity has expanded well past the world of wrestling.

Sapp reported Rhodes reached the top 10 in merchandise sales across all sports at the Fanatics shop in April.

Of course, that coincided with Rhodes' win over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania to finally become WWE champion and his brewing beef with The Rock. It's clear going head-to-head against The Bloodline was good for the Rhodes business, as he's become the most over babyface in WWE since the halcyon days of John Cena.

Rhodes made his first championship defense earlier this month at Backlash, defeating AJ Styles. His second challenger will also help improve his national cache, as Rhodes will go one-on-one with Logan Paul at the King and Queen of the Ring event.
