It hasn't taken long for Caleb Williams to convince the masses that he's the right quarterback to be the franchise cornerstone for the Chicago Bears.

Tyler Dunne of Go Long reported that Williams has already drawn rave reviews since being selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and he even drew a comparison to a legendary signal-caller.

"One scout who's tracked Williams closely describes the quarterback as a supercharged Donovan McNabb," Dunne stated. "He believes. He sees Williams as the face of the Bears for years."

Being mentioned in a conversation with McNabb bodes well for Williams' career prospects. McNabb was a six-time Pro Bowler and was named to the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame. He led the team to a Super Bowl appearance in 2004 and holds multiple franchise records.

The Bears wasted no time handing Williams the reins, as he was named the team's starting quarterback at the beginning of rookie minicamp last week. Chicago is hoping he will help end its run of five straight seasons with a .500 record or below.
