Zaccharie Risacher was projected to be one of the top players available at the 2024 NBA draft. The Atlanta Hawks made sure he didn't remain on the board for long, selecting him with the No. 1 overall pick.

Player: Zaccharie Risacher

Position: SF

Height: 6'8"

Pro Comparison: Harrison Barnes

Scouting Report: "Risacher's combination of positional size, athleticism and shotmaking creates a high floor and easy fit. And given his age and the flashes at junior levels overseas, he has a skill set and room to grow as a ball-handler, driver and secondary playmaker."

The 19-year-old Risacher is yet another prospect to make the jump from European basketball directly to the NBA, having played for France's JL Bourg in the 2023-24 season and LDLC ASVEL between the 2021-22 and 2022-23 campaigns.

He averaged 10.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 32 Betclic Élite games, shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 35.2 percent from three.

But for Risacher, it was simply a stepping stone before his NBA aspirations.

"It's always been my dream to get to the best league in the world," he told ESPN's Jonathan Givony in April. "I've been putting the work in for this since I was a kid. JL Bourg has given me an incredible opportunity to showcase what I can do. It's been the perfect place to start my young career. I'm really grateful to have the opportunity to play for this organization."

But it's on to bigger and better things for Risacher, Atlanta will be hoping he can live up to the hype.
