Wolves' Anthony Edwards Jokes with Nuggets Locker Room Staffer: 'See You Game 7'
May 15, 2024
The Minnesota Timberwolves have dropped three straight games to the Denver Nuggets, but Anthony Edwards is not losing hope.
Edwards told a Nuggets locker room attendant he'll see them for Game 7 following Tuesday's Game 5 loss in Denver.
The All-Star guard struggled mightily in Minnesota's Game 5 loss, finishing with 18 points and nine assists on 5-of-15 shooting. He'd played a starring role through the first four games of the series, shooting over 50 percent from the floor in each contest while posting two 40-point games.
"Super excited," Edwards told reporters of the upcoming Game 6. "You get to compete. Get to go home and play with our backs against the wall. It should be fun."
The Timberwolves got off to a 2-0 series lead but have dropped the last three games to the defending champs.
Nikola Jokić finished with 40 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists while acting as the offensive fulcrum for Denver on Tuesday. After a frustrating first two games in the series, Jokić has scored 109 points in the Nuggets' three straight wins.
The Timberwolves host Game 6 on Thursday night.
