Pro Comparison: Channing Frye

Scouting Report: Smith earned NBA fans this year with his shotmaking for a 6'11" teenager and consistency against G Leaguers. His game is fairly simple and limited, but the combination of shooting and finishing tools should be useful and easy to fit offensively.

Smith has been playing professional basketball since he was 16 years old. He signed with Overtime Elite in August 2021 and spent two years with the club. The New Orleans native averaged 15.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game during the 2022-23 season.

After his breakout season in Overtime Elite, Smith joined the G League Ignite in June 2023. He finished third on the team in scoring average (14.3 points per game) on 47.8 percent shooting in 16 appearances.

Smith got to challenge himself on the same team as fellow 2024 draft prospect Ron Holland. His ability to shoot should help him adjust to the NBA fairly quickly.
