It's safe to say Colorado star Travis Hunter was having some fun during the photo shoot for the cover of EA Sports College Football 25.

The defensive back and wide receiver shared a behind-the-scenes video for the cover of the game, which includes himself, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Michigan running back Donovan Edwards and was revealed Thursday.

Hunter and Ewers were playing catch with a ball at the 17:50 mark when he cracked a joke about the Deflategate scandal.

"Oh yeah. That's that Tom Brady ball for sure," Hunter said. "That's that Tom Brady Ball. It's flat."

Brady famously served a four-game suspension for his alleged role in the Deflategate scandal in which the New England Patriots were accused of illegally lowering the inflation of game balls to the quarterback's preference.

There was even an inflation check at halftime of the 2014 season's AFC Championship Game, which the Patriots won 45-7 over the Indianapolis Colts.

ESPN's Kevin Seifert noted the Patriots fought the allegations, while Brady filed a federal lawsuit against the NFL regarding his suspension. While the suspension was overturned in 2015, he lost on appeal and served it in 2016.

It has become something of a punchline years later to the point that Brady even joked about it during Netflix's roast of him earlier this month.

Hunter joking about it approximately 10 years after that AFC Championship Game further underscores how it is something with an amusing connotation at this point.

The joke certainly didn't overshadow quite the moment for Hunter, who is one of the cover athletes for the highly anticipated return of the EA Sports College Football game. The last edition was NCAA Football 14, and fans have long been clamoring for its return.

The game will be released on July 19 and feature current players.

That is quite the distinction from previous editions of the game, as the implementation of name, image and likeness rules allows EA Sports to pay current athletes for their participation and lend a more realistic feel to the game.
