On the heels of the King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event, WWE looks toward June 15th and the Clash at the Castle spectacular from Glasgow, Scotland, where Drew McIntyre will understandably take center stage in front of fans, friends, and family in his home country.

The Scottish Warrior will challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship, this we know.

Three weeks from today, LIVE from Glasgow, Scotland, <a href="https://twitter.com/DMcIntyreWWE?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@DMcIntyreWWE</a> gets his opportunity to challenge <a href="https://twitter.com/ArcherOfInfamy?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@ArcherOfInfamy</a> for the World Heavyweight Championship at <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWECastle?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WWECastle</a>. <a href="https://t.co/XXJ7yiY234">pic.twitter.com/XXJ7yiY234</a>

What other matches will join that high-stakes, potentially game-changing showdown on the hotly anticipated card?

Find out with these way-too-early predictions for the event.

Already Announced: Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre

1 of 5

During Saturday's King and Queen of the Ring, Triple H revealed that Clash at the Castle will be headlined by world heavyweight champion Damian Priest defending against homestown hero and No. 1 contender, Drew McIntyre.

It is a rematch from WrestleMania XL, where The Archer of Infamy cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and within seconds, defeated The Scottish Warrior just minutes after he won the world title from a hobbled Seth "Freakin" Rollins.

    WWE @WWE

    SEÑOR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WrestleMania?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WrestleMania</a> <a href="https://t.co/A7STQ6swzw">pic.twitter.com/A7STQ6swzw</a>

McIntyre will likely be a heavy favorite among his fellow countrymen. While Priest feels like a sitting duck champion leading into that show, perhaps the outcome is not quite as obvious as it may seem on paper.

What better way for CM Punk to further stick it to his hated rival McIntyre than by costing him the Raw brand's top prize in front of his friends and family in Glasgow?

That would undoubtedly make him a heel among those fans but also further intensify a feud that dates back to the Royal Rumble and a torn triceps suffered by the Chicago native at the hands of McIntyre.

Regardless of whether the Scottish-born former champion achieves another career milestone in front of a partial audience, the main event will be brimming with storyline threads that also includes the recent dissension within The Judgment Day.

Randy Orton vs. Gunther

2 of 5

Following the controversial finish to the King of the Ring tournament that saw Gunther pin Randy Orton despite The Viper's right shoulder clearly being off the mat, Triple H told Byron Saxton that the third-generation star deserves a rematch and will get one when he is less banged up.

    ⚡️King Ryeburn ⚡️ @FinalBossRock

    RANDY ORTON'S SHOULDER WAS UP <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWEKingAndQueen?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WWEKingAndQueen</a> <a href="https://t.co/62ZQc3nnMK">pic.twitter.com/62ZQc3nnMK</a>

That could be as soon as Clash at the Castle, perhaps with the coveted world title opportunity at stake. The same title opportunity The Ring General earned by way of his victory.

Even if that title shot is not up for grabs, a rematch of the excellent contest from Jeddah would be enough to inspire interest among fans, especially if there is a story Triple H can tell across Raw and SmackDown to set it up.

Perhaps Orton calls into question that Gunther is really the better of the two men and claims that he was seconds away from turning the new King of the Ring's lights out with an RKO, all while working with Kevin Owens to fend off The Bloodline.

Maybe Gunther responds by referring to The Viper as a great Superstar of the past who no longer has what it takes to beat the best of this generation.

There are plenty of avenues to take and with that inadvertent botch of the finish being a hot topic among fans in the wake of an otherwise superb match, now is the time to take the initiative to pivot and tell a story that results in Gunther picking up an indisputable victory.

WWE Women's Championship Match: Bayley vs. Piper Niven

3 of 5

Friday on SmackDown, Piper Niven answered WWE women's champion Bayley's victory over Chelsea Green with a beatdown that left The Role Model lying. It was a display of dominance and a potential hint of what is to come for the women involved.

With Clash at the Castle taking place in Niven's homeland of Scotland, this is the perfect opportunity to give her some shine against one of the most beloved competitors in the company.

piper niven being bayley's next challenger is so exciting &amp; fresh <a href="https://t.co/WKR48YbUGw">pic.twitter.com/WKR48YbUGw</a>

A performer who has delivered when given the opportunity in the past, Niven is more than capable of having a Premium Live Event match against a top star and thriving.

It will take a few more weeks of dominant performances, with actual wins while Green chirps at ringside, for Niven to evolve into a believable threat to her opponent, but it is possible.

Unlike fellow countryman McIntyre, though, the likelihood that she would emerge victoriously is low as Bayley appears to be on a collision course with Nia Jax in time for SummerSlam in August.

Women's Tag Team Title Match: Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair vs. The Unholy Union

4 of 5

Sticking with the Scottish-born competitors earning championship opportunities, and without any other obvious challengers, The Unholy Union's Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn stepping up to challenge Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill for the Women's Tag Team Championship makes sense.

The NXT exports have been woefully underutilized on WWE programming since their main roster call-ups, making only a handful of appearances, with no real follow-up.

    WWE @WWE

    Can <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/SmackDown?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#SmackDown</a> handle the Unholy Union?! <a href="https://t.co/7vRVjpf9eL">pic.twitter.com/7vRVjpf9eL</a>

After Cargill told the rest of the division that her and Belair are "giving out work. Come apply," what better way to reintroduce the duo than by having them attack the champions and declare themselves applicants?

Fyre and Dawn get the shine of a major PLE, in front of their home country fans, with an opportunity to build momentum and ensure Triple H and the rest of the creative team cannot forget about them again.

Add to that Cargill and Belair getting a fresh pair of opponents and there is even more reason to make the creative choice to bring The Unholy Union back into prominence.

Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles

5 of 5

AJ Styles approached Nick Aldis Friday on SmackDown, pleading with him to give him another shot at Cody Rhodes and the Undisputed WWE Championship, telling the blue brand general manager Nick Aldis that he does not have much time left.

Aldis denied him the shot, telling him he must earn it.

    Wrestle Ops @WrestleOps

"You know I don't have time."<br><br>A desperate AJ Styles with not much time left asks Nick Aldis for one more chance at the WWE Championship, but is denied.<br><br>Time is ticking for Styles…<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/SmackDown?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#SmackDown</a> <a href="https://t.co/RkQm5Dktu5">pic.twitter.com/RkQm5Dktu5</a>

Desperate to win the gold that has eluded him since 2018, and hellbent on ending his career on top, Styles could easily force his former TNA Wrestling rival's hand, snapping and beating down The American Nightmare to the point that Rhodes demands the rematch.

With the emphasis on McIntyre vs. Priest and the homecoming of The Scottish Warrior, WWE can easily get away with running the match back.

There will be less pressure on Rhodes to sell the show in this scenario, we get a rematch of one of the best title bouts of the year, and the added element of Styles' impending retirement elevates the significance of the match.

This is a no-lose situation. Without an obvious challenger awaiting the champion, giving us Rhodes vs. Styles II is hardly a bad thing.
