College Baseball Regional 2024: Bracket, Schedule and Hosts
May 27, 2024
The first part of the NCAA baseball tournament bracket reveal produced the host sites for the 16 regionals to take place from Friday to Monday.
The road to Omaha will begin at home for five SEC schools, including the top-ranked Tennessee Volunteers.
The ACC tied the SEC for most home regionals, the Pac-12 and Big 12 each have two hosts and a pair of mid-major squads will play in their own ballparks.
Each of the 16 sites will feature a four-team, double-elimination tournament that begins on Friday. The winners of each regional move on to the best-of-three super regional series.

The entire NCAA baseball tournament bracket will be unveiled on Monday at Noon ET.
The eight national seeds, as well as the order of the top 16 seeds, will be handed out at that point.
The 16 hosts know they rank somewhere in the top 16 seeds. The order is important because the top eight have hosting priority for the super regionals.
A year ago, nine of the 16 seeded teams took advantage of their home field and advanced to the super regionals. Five of the eight super regional hosts went on to the College World Series.
Tennessee will have the benefit of hosting this year after it had to go on the road twice to advance to Omaha last season. The Vols will be in contention for the No. 1 overall seed with a handful of ACC and SEC teams.
The Kentucky Wildcats, Clemson Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies and Arkansas Razorbacks ranked in the top five of the baseball Top 25 ahead of conference championship week.
Tennessee's win over reigning national champion LSU in the SEC tournament likely sealed the No. 1 overall seed. The other four teams have strong cases to make off their regular-season resumes.
LSU is the team no regional host wants to see in its portion of the bracket. The Tigers looked like the title-winning team of 2023 during their run to the SEC tournament final.
The Tigers will be the favorite pick to upset a regional host and move to the super regional round.
All of the four teams drawn in each regional will be seeded from one to four. The top seed faces the No. 4 seed and the No. 2 seed plays the No. 3 seed in the opening games at each site.
The winners and losers of each game play on the second day of the regional. Every regional ends once three of the four teams suffer multiple defeats.
