Ranking Jey Uso, Tiffany Stratton, and Best Choices to Win WWE Money in the Bank 2024
Erik BeastonJune 5, 2024Ranking Jey Uso, Tiffany Stratton, and Best Choices to Win WWE Money in the Bank 2024

WWE's Money in the Bank premium live event is one of the most popular shows on the calendar, thanks to the unpredictability of the namesake ladder matches and the potential elevation of stars.
Edge, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Daniel Bryan, Big E, Liv Morgan, and Bayley have all experienced the highs of winning the briefcase and cashing it in to become champions.
World heavyweight champion Damian Priest achieved the goal on The Grandest Stage of Them All, cashing in to defeat Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40.
Which Superstars have the potential to join those names, moving one step closer to the ultimate goal of championship immortality?
Find out with this early preview of the July 6 event from Toronto's Scotiabank Arena.
Women's Ladder Match Runners-Up

The crop of competitors who could win Money in the Bank on the women's side of things is a mixture of the underutilized, a veteran determined to climb back into title contention and one of the brightest young stars on the main roster.
All are fresh faces, none of whom have held the briefcase or even a women's championship on Raw or SmackDown in the last five years. They can contribute to ongoing storylines or use the briefcase to create their own opportunities and build momentum.
5. Zelina Vega (Raw)
Long underutilized, Zelina Vega proved she has plenty to contribute to the women's division in the lead-in to her lone women's world title match against Rhea Ripley at Backlash in April 2023.
Since then, though, she has been relegated to sidekick duty for the LWO, a role she is so much better than.
Without an ongoing storyline of her own, a briefcase win would be a jumping-off point for a talented competitor looking for one sustained opportunity to prove herself in a high-profile spot.
4. Michin (SmackDown)
Much like Vega, Michin has shown up and shown out when given the chance, but those opportunities have been way too few and far between. A strong in-ring worker, she has the tools to be a top talent in any women's division.
A Money in the Bank victory would propel her to the forefront of one and set her up for the push that has eluded her to this point in both chapters of her WWE career.
3. Naomi (SmackDown)
Naomi is the most intriguing potential Money in the Bank winner because one would assume WWE did not bring her back into the fold just to have her float around the women's division as the top stars' best friend.
She has been excellent since returning, shining in big matches and moments when given the chance. What has hurt her has been the number of ongoing storylines and her lack of roles, leaving her to watch from the sidelines as an ancillary participant rather than someone who is the focus of the creative efforts.
There is plenty of time for Triple H and Co. to come up with something significant for her to do, culminating with a MITB briefcase victory that sets her on a path to championship gold.
2. Lyra Valkyria (Raw)
The former NXT women's champion exploded onto the scene on Monday nights, quickly establishing herself as a breakout star as a finalist in the Queen of the Ring tournament and her victories over Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane.
The talented Irish wrestler stepped into Becky Lynch's role as the top babyface in the Raw women's division and is prepared to go on a major run. She also made clear her intentions to compete in the MITB match prior to an attack by Sky.
The clear favorite from the red brand, it would not be surprising if Valkyria emerged from the ladder match with the briefcase and soared to the top of women's wrestling sooner rather than later.
Women's Match Winner: Tiffany Stratton

The Money in the Bank gimmick was made for a character like Tiffany Stratton.
A spoiled brat of sorts who believes it's always "Tiffy Time" and that the world should be hers, a victory in the annual ladder match would set her up to cash in and win the women's title whenever and wherever she sees fit.
Imagine how pink and dazzling she would have the briefcase looking. Think of how often she could pop up in the background, throwing attitude and constantly reminding Bayley and the rest of the SmackDown women's division that she has the guaranteed championship opportunity.
Beyond the creative is a young wrestler who has gotten over with crowds through her consistently impressive performances against the best SmackDown has to offer. We saw it at Elimination Chamber, then again in the build to Backlash, where she challenged Bayley in a Triple Threat match, which also involved Naomi.
She has continuously looked like the face of the future in women's wrestling, the crowds are responding to her as such. And as an effective heel persona, she is the perfect choice to torment those around her and ultimately cash in her championship opportunity in the most underhanded of ways.
Men's Ladder Match Runners-Up

The competitors on the men's side are a mixture of grizzled veterans whose victories would escalate or introduce storylines and two young stars with upward momentum and the potential to be top stars for the next decade.
5. Randy Orton (SmackDown)
The impending rivalry between Orton and Cody Rhodes over the Undisputed WWE Championship makes The Viper a suitable Money in the Bank victor.
The third-generation star and future Hall of Famer already missed out on a guaranteed championship opportunity following his controversial King of the Ring tournament loss to Gunther, but the annual men's ladder match gives him a second chance to set in motion the battle between former mentor and protege.
The 2013 MITB winner utilized the briefcase to spark a heel turn on Daniel Bryan and could replicate that unforgettable moment by betraying Rhodes and instigating what has the potential to be one of the more personal feuds in WWE.
4. Ludwig Kaiser (Raw)
Kaiser has impressed at nearly every turn, developing from NXT afterthought to mouthpiece for Gunther to legitimate breakout contender.
His work with Sheamus, both on the mic and in their gem of a match Monday night on Raw, is that of a star in the making.
With The Ring General poised to make a run at the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, the idea of Kaiser winning the briefcase and potentially betraying his associate is an intriguing one.
The only issue? Neither he nor Gunther are particularly likable, so the idea that fans could get behind either in a feud at this point seems far-fetched.
3. CM Punk (Raw)
If Drew McIntyre wins the World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest at Clash at the Castle, CM Punk returning from his triceps injury to win Money in the Bank and set up a potential cash-in against the Scot makes sense.
Like Kaiser, though, there is one issue: We have already seen McIntyre lose the title in that scenario at WrestleMania 40 against Priest. Though the Punk cash-in would generate a great reaction, it would ultimately feel like more of the same.
That his return from the injured list would be anything but a guarantee stifles things a bit, too.
2. Carmelo Hayes (SmackDown)
Carmelo Hayes would thrive as Mr. Money in the Bank, thanks to being a young heel with incredible upside. The brightest star on NXT and the centerpiece of its creative efforts, he repeatedly proved why he is what he says he is: Him.
Giving him the win and the briefcase, then letting him build momentum for a handful of months—staying just far enough out of the title picture but never letting fans forget that he has the briefcase, before introducing him to Rhodes and the other main event players at the right time—would be an effective use of him and ensure that he achieves a place on the card reflective of his abilities.
It may be too much, too soon for some, but if there is any star on the roster who can deliver at the top level against the most prominent stars, it's Hayes.
After all, Melo doesn't miss.
Men's Match Winner: Jey Uso

Jey Uso became the first Superstar to announce his goal to win Money in the Bank Monday on Raw and he is the best choice to claim victory in the men's match.
Uso's lone World Heavyweight Championship opportunity as a member of the Raw roster came at Backlash, against Damian Priest, and was marred by interference from The Judgment Day, costing him the chance to prove his "Main Event" moniker right.
He is the most popular star on the red brand by a mile. It would be unwise for WWE not to capitalize on it, even if it means shifting previous creative plans.
As part of the overarching Bloodline storyline, Uso winning the briefcase fits.
Why would he rush to the aid of his backstabbing brother, Jimmy, and gaslighting cousin Roman Reigns when he did exactly what he said he would by breaking free of the family and becoming his own man on Monday nights?
As Mr. Money in the Bank, he would not need to reunite with those two. They would need him more than he does them. Jey being the last to buy in to a reunion, even if he never really wanted The Bloodline to split the way it did in the first place, makes sense and would likely make for great television as the trio combats Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa in the future Bloodline civil war.
