Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández is interested in re-signing with the team once he hits free agency at the end of the 2024 season.

"I want to stay," Hernández told Bill Ladson of MLB.com. "I don't want to keep bouncing around the league. I feel good here, comfortable. I think this is a good chance for me to win. That is the most important thing for me. It's a great group. I would love to stay."

The 31-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Dodgers worth $23.5 million as a free agent last offseason.

The former All-Star has thrived in the middle of a deadly Los Angeles lineup that includes Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman. Hernández has racked up 16 home runs and 48 RBIs in 2024, both representing the highest marks on the team. He's also posted an impressive .849 OPS to go along with a .266/.333/.516 slash line.

Hernández has continued his strong play as of late, earning National League Player of the Week honors after recording four homers and 10 RBIs from June 3 through June 9.

When asked about his group of star-studded teammates such as Ohtani and Betts, he discussed his method of emulating them both on and off the field.

"You try to do everything that they do: How they prepare, how they do things in the clubhouse, batting cage and on the field," Hernández said, via Ladson. "It's not a surprise by the things that they have done during their careers. They have been doing it for 10 years. It's great."

Given his respect for his teammates and the Dodgers' overall record of 41-26, it's easy to see why he'd be interested in remaining with Los Angeles after playing for three teams in the past three seasons.
