The Los Angeles Dodgers revealed their second set of 2024 City Connect uniforms on Monday, which includes a "galaxy of stars" dotted theme on the uniforms that gives them a bit of a Pop-Tart effect.

The team will wear the uniforms for the first time during Saturday's matchup against the Los Angeles Angels.

"The new jerseys for 2024 are a nod to the city's longstanding connection to being a city of dreams and dreamers," the team said in a press release. "A city filled with those shooting for the stars where impossible dreams can turn into reality."

The team revealed its first City Connect uniforms back in 2021 and they...weren't very popular. Frankly, they were a bit of a meme, regularly ranking at the bottom or near the bottom of City Connect power rankings.

The second attempt pulled in a number of references from the club's history and its ties to the Los Angeles region, from the typeface on the chest "inspired by signage of the LA Memorial Coliseum" to a new color palette of "Dusk and Electric Blue—with just a hint of Chili Red, a nod to the red numbers" on the club's primary jerseys.

The new uniforms weren't meant to evoke Los Angeles being a "city of dreams and dreamers."

It remains to be seen if they'll be more popular than the previous attempt by the Dodgers to add a third jersey design into the mix. But given the relatively poor reception of the last effort, a new design was inevitable.
