Boston Celtics guard Derrick White's commitment to winning the 2024 NBA title cost him three hours in the dentist's chair.

White said it took hours to repair the damage he suffered to his smile Monday during a collision in the Celtics' title-clinching Game 5.

"I've spent like, two hours, and then I had to go back for like an hour," White said (h/t NBC Sports Boston.) "And now, we got a little temporary fix for tonight.

"Shout out to Boston Dental. Y'all are clutch."

White chipped his teeth on an effort to corral a loose ball late in the first half of the Celtics' Game 5 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Mavericks center Dereck Lively dove over White for the ball, and the impact slammed White's face into the court.

White said the missing teeth were worth it after the Celtics sealed the franchise's 18th title win with Monday's 106-88 victory.

The two-time member of the All-Defensive Second Team recorded two steals and a block while contributing 14 points to the win.

"This is what you work for," White said after the victory. "I'd lose all my teeth for a championship. I'll get it fixed, and I'm gonna enjoy this one."

White followed through in that promise in time for the Celtics' championship parade Friday morning in Boston.
