Jared Goff is officially a married man.
The Detroit Lions quarterback married model Christen Harper this past weekend in Ojai, California. Goff and Harper have been engaged since 2022 and have been in a relationship since 2019.
She has been with Goff since his time with the Los Angeles Rams and went viral in 2021 when celebrating a Lions win while shooting that year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Goff's marriage is not his only milestone this offseason. The three-time Pro Bowler also inked a four-year extension worth up to $212 million this offseason, which makes him one of the highest-paid signal-callers in the league.
This accomplishment is something that looked unlikely during the earlier stages of their relationship. Goff had found success in Los Angeles after being selected with the No. 1 pick in 2016, but he was dealt away ahead of the 2021 season in exchange for Matthew Stafford.
The Rams won the Super Bowl in the first year following the trade, while Goff's Lions went 3-13-1 and he looked like a bridge quarterback for a rebuilding team. Instead, Detroit improved to 9-8 in his second year before going 12-5 and reaching the NFC Championship in 2023.
Goff has accumulated 12,258 passing yards and 78 touchdowns during his time with the franchise and the future appears to be bright. As he and the Lions prepare for the 2024 season, he will do so with his personal life being in a strong place.
