New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner has been trying his hand at golf this summer, and he's learned a newfound respect for the sport.

Gardner took to social media to declare that he now believes golf is more difficult than football:

SAUCE GARDNER @iamSauceGardner

Never thought I would say this, but golf is harder than football.

It makes sense that a new sport is a challenge for Gardner, especially considering how easy he makes his job look.

In two years in the NFL, Gardner has earned back-to-back Pro Bowl selections and first-team All-Pro selections. He was named Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2022 after leading the league with 20 pass breakups.

While the Jets have struggled to find success in Gardner's young career, the team has a better outlook for the 2024 season thanks to the return of quarterback Aaron Rodgers from his Achilles injury and a solid free-agent class.

Gardner will soon hang up the golf clubs and turn his attention back to football, as the Jets will begin training camp later this month.
