Spain and England will meet in the final of the UEFA European Championship for the first time in the history of the two nations.

Spain, a three-time winner of the competition, will try to become the winningest nation in Euro history with a victory on Sunday in Berlin.

England is going after its elusive first-ever Euro title. The Three Lions fell short of the title three years ago in penalties against Italy.

Spain has looked like the better side throughout the tournament, but England has found ways to win games, just like it did on Wednesday thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Ollie Watkins.

UEFA Euro 2024 Final Odds

To Win the Tournament

Spain (-155; bet $155 to win $100)

England (+120; bet $100 to win $120)

Predictions

Spain can claim the title of best overall squad through six games in Germany.

The Spanish attack posted 13 goals, including multiple tallies in all of their knockout-round contests.

Dani Olmo's move into the starting XI after Pedri's tournament-ending leg injury provided a boost to the attacking group as well.

But all of the headlines regarding Spain will be about 16-year-old Lamine Yamal, who will play in the final one day after his 17th birthday.

The Barcelona product scored one of the goals of the tournament to get Spain back in the contest against France on Tuesday.

Lamine Yamal leads La Roja with 16 shots in the tournament. Fabian Ruiz, Dani Olmo and Alvaro Morata all have double-digit shot attempt totals as well.

Spain's front four will provide a strong test for an England back line that has not allowed multiple concessions to any opponent.

England has not earned a clean sheet since its group-stage finale against Slovenia, but it has done well to limit the damage in defense.

The Netherlands managed just seven total shots, two of which were on target, in Wednesday's semifinal against England. One of the shots on target came on Xavi Simons' seventh-minute goal.

England would be thrilled if it held Spain to a low number of shots on target through 90 minutes. The Three Lions would love a defensive-minded, low-chance game.

Gareth Southgate's side needs more out of Harry Kane, though, to keep up with what Spain can produce in the final third.

Kane scored from the penalty spot and had two shots on goal in the first half on Wednesday, but then he fell silent in front of goal before he was lifted in the 81st minute.

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham and Manchester City's Phil Foden will try to be the difference makers around Kane. Foden was the more lively of the two players against the Netherlands. Bellingham kept England's tournament hopes alive in the round of 16 with a brilliant overhead goal against Slovakia.

Spain's attacking quartet has had an overall better tournament than England's group, and if the chances flow in like they have all tournament for La Roja, it will be hard to see England keeping up with that rate of chance creation.

Neither side will blow out the other on Sunday, but the more consistent side should be rewarded with the tournament crown.

Prediction: Spain 2, England 1
