Christian McCaffrey Reacts to Cam Newton's Wedding Snub Video with Greg Olsen Convo

San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey lightheartedly pushed back on the idea he snubbed former Carolina Panthers teammate Cam Newton from the guest list for his recent wedding.

During the most recent episode of his 4th & 1 podcast, Newton lamented how he didn't receive an invite for the festivities. That led McCaffrey to comment on Instagram and say, "I haven't got a text back in 4 years," when recounting a conversation with former Panthers tight end Greg Olsen.

Plenty of other former Panthers players beyond Olsen, including Luke Kuechly and Sam Darnold, were on hand to celebrate McCaffrey's nuptials with Olivia Culpo.

From that perspective, Newton's surprise at missing out was understandable. The 2015 MVP was teammates with McCaffrey in Carolina across four seasons. That spanned the end of Newton's first run with the Panthers and his return in 2021.

It doesn't appear that McCaffrey and Newton's relationship fractured due to anything that transpired on the Panthers; they simply lost contact after going their separate ways in the NFL.

The thing with missing a wedding is that it's a one-off occasion. McCaffrey isn't going to get married again anytime soon.

But surely there will be a situation that allows he and Newton to catch up and renew acquaintances.
