Top Prospect to Watch: Dylan Crews

The second overall pick by the Washington Nationals in the 2023, Crews is the No. 4 top prospect according to MLB.com and has spent 2024 proving why.
Playing for the AAA Rochester Red Wings, he has accumulated 74 hits and eight home runs in 277 at-bats. He has driven in 49 runs and tallied a slash line of .267/.331/.764, per MiLB.com.
The center-fielder has a flawless 1.000 fielding percentage thus far in his minor league career in 724.1 innings at the position. He has also played right field and was equally as flawless, indicating he has the ability to be a quality defender in the big leagues.
As a hitter, he has struggled against off-speed stuff but he spent his time at LSU proving he could make the necessary adjustments to his approach at the plate.
How he continues to do so could determine the timetable for his eventual call-up to a Nationals team that is suddenly brimming with intriguing, exciting young talent, including CJ Abrams at shortstop.
Top Prospect to Watch: Druw Jones

Diamondbacks prospect Druw Jones has worked steadily this season, hoping to push his way through the team's single-A affiliate, the Visalia Rawhide.
In 251 at-bats, Jones has blasted five homers, driven in 41 RBI, and established a slash line of .275/.391/.805.
Jones has a career fielding percentage of .972 in center field.
In his first season in the minors, he struggled to find his bat, recording just six extra-base hits before injury sidelined him. He added five more after returning from the IL.
Jones strikes out more than he should, amassing 87 thus far in 2024 in 251 at-bat, per MiLB.com.
He has nine stolen bases to this point in the season, matching his 2023 total.
While he continues to develop as a hitter, he has the opportunity to showcase his abilities against others at similar points in their progression.
