July 19, 2024
The Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran safety Eddie Jackson to a one-year deal, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jackson, a fourth-round draft pick in 2017, has spent his entire career with the Chicago Bears before this season, accumulating 459 total tackles, 15 interceptions and six defensive touchdowns across his career.
After landing Jackson, here's a look at the Ravens updated defensive depth chart:

Jackson will look to help the Ravens' improve defensively after a solid season last year. Baltimore held opponents to the sixth-lowest yards per game in 2023 and it will be searching to get even better this year.
One of the keys for Jackson this season will be his health after the veteran missed 10 games across the last two campaigns. When healthy, Jackson has proved to be one of the best defensive backs in the league with a pair of Pro-Bowl appearances as well as an All-Pro bid.
Jackson will join a safety room that features veteran Marcus Williams and a rising star in Kyle Hamilton, who is entering his third season this year.
The Ravens had the best record in the NFL last year at 13-4 and seemed capable of a Super Bowl run, but the eventual champion Kansas City Chiefs stood in their way of reaching that goal.
Baltimore will now look to get over the hump and reach the Super Bowl for the first time in more than a decade this year.
