Will Roman Reigns or The Rock Return?
The biggest possible storyline coming out of SummerSlam would be centered around the return of Roman Reigns or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson if one of the men were to return to WWE and intervene in the Bloodline's activities.
The new Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa, has formed his own version of the Bloodline, which has been running roughshod over the WWE. With Sikoa scheduled to take on Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, SummerSlam would be the perfect event to have Reigns or The Rock return.
The more likely return would be that of Reigns, who has been missing in action since WrestleMania 40. With Sikoa taking control of his stable and stealing his Head of the Table gimmick, the former world champion should return at SummerSlam and cost his cousin the victory, setting up a battle within the faction.
The bigger return, although less likely, would be having The Rock return to WWE programming after Sikoa comes up short against Rhodes. With the defeated Tribal Chief in the middle of the ring, Johnson could return and take over the stable, setting his sights on the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Either way, expect a big return involving the Bloodline at SummerSlam.
Adding a Tag Team Match
In Triple H's version of WWE, the company has kept its wrestling cards relatively short, with only a limited number of matches booked for each show. If WWE Creative is going to add a bout, it'll likely be for the WWE Tag Team Championships.
While DIY—Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa—has been entertaining since winning the titles only a few weeks ago, the Tag Team Championships could be used to give Sikoa's version of the Bloodline credibility.
Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa have looked good since making their debut to support Sikoa, but beating DIY to win the titles would not only give the Bloodline stable more credibility, but also protect the group when Sikoa fails to beat Rhodes for the world title later in the night.
A short title reign for DIY won't help the WWE Universe's perception of the former NXT champions, but the Bloodline storyline is the most important angle in the company, and sacrifices must be made.
