Rafael Nadal, Alcaraz Lose to USA: Updated Olympic Doubles Tennis Bracket, Results

The "Nadalcaraz" train has come to a halt.

Despite three break-point opportunities late in the second set, Americans Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek defeated Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz to reach the Olympic men's doubles semifinal.

Nadal and Alcaraz, who were playing doubles together for just the third time, were simply overmatched by Ram and Krajicek, who have combined for five major doubles titles.

With the duo of Spaniards out, here's what the bracket looks like now.

The men's doubles draw will no longer include Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.

The duo, who dropped the opening set 6-2, rallied late, but their serving struggles proved to be their Achilles heel.

The two won 64% of their service points on first serve, while their opponents, Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram, won 76%.

Furthermore, Krajicek and Ram's play at the net proved to be too much for the Spaniards.

While this was Nadal's last chance at a gold medal, Alcaraz is still alive in the men's singles draw.
