The 2024 Summer Olympics continue to unfold, and basketball has remained one of the highlight sports. Group play for the men's traditional bracket wrapped on Saturday, and Team USA went out on a high note.

Led by NBA stars Joel Embid (15 points, 3 rebounds), Kevin Durant (11 points, 4 rebounds) and Anthony Edwards (26 points), the Americans recorded a dominant 104-83 win over Puerto Rico.

The victory secured the No. 1 overall seed for the U.S. men's team in the quarterfinals, which will begin on Tuesday. Fans won't have to wait that long for more basketball action, however, as both women's group play and 3x3 games will run throughout Sunday. The upcoming schedule includes the U.S. women's final group game against Germany.

Here's a look at what to expect from Sunday's slate.

Sunday might well represent the last we see of the U.S. men's 3x3 team in these Olympics. The American squad struggled mightily in the early stages, losing its first four games of group play.

Former BYU standout Jimmer Fredette has also been sidelined by a lower-body injury that is considered "game-to-game," according to Brandon Judd of the Deseret News.

There is hope, however. Led big a big performance from Carson Barry, the Americans picked up their second straight win on Friday, a 21-19 victory in which Barry scored Team USA's final seven points.

Their 2-4 record leaves the Americans tied with France and Poland in the standings and one spot ahead of 1-5 China. A win over the Netherlands on Sunday could be pivotal, but there's still a chance for the U.S. to advance to the play-in round.

After group play has concluded, the top two teams in the eight-team pool will automatically advance to the semifinals. The bottom two teams will be eliminated, while the four middle-of-the-pack squads will compete for the final two semifinal spots.

The U.S. women's traditional team has already secured its spot in the quarterfinals. The top two teams in each group automatically qualify for the knockout stage, and the 2-0 Americans can't be caught by either Belgium or Japan—who are each 0-2.

Like the American men, though, the American women will look to finish group play with a strong statement.

Led by WNBA stars like A'Ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Brittney Griner, Diana Taurasi and Napheesa Collier, Team USA is a heavy favorite to win the whole tournament. However, Germany is also undefeated and will provide a stiff challenge on Sunday.

France is also undefeated and has a three-point edge over the Americans in point differential. That means Team USA may have to win and win big to secure the No. 1 overall seed for the next round.

Don't expect the American women to try backing their way into the quarterfinals.

"Since it has gone to three groups, it's tricky. You can't drop games and you have to play well, or it can get complicated," Taurasi said, per the FIBA's official website.

The afternoon game between France and Australia could be a pivotal game ahead of the quarterfinals. While France currently leads Group B, a win would give Australia the top spot via equal 2-1 records and the head-to-head tiebreaker.

The knockout bracket will be set after the France-Australia matchup, and the quarterfinals are set to kick off on Wednesday, August 7.
