Warriors' Stephen Curry Jokes About Teaming with Son Canon Like LeBron James, Bronny
August 7, 2024
It will be at least 13 years before Steph Curry and his son Canon Curry could join LeBron and Bronny James as the second father-son duo to play together in the NBA.
Although Canon will be eligible for the NBA draft in 2037 at the earliest, the Golden State Warriors star jokingly suggested he has a plan for how the two could play together.
"If they could set up a chair in the corner, and I only play offense," Curry joked to Joseph Bien-Kahn of GQ Sports. "I only shoot corner threes."
Canon has been training for that moment since a young age, having received shooting lessons from his father since the age of four:
The six-year-old was most recently seen attending a New York Giants game with Warriors players in May.
Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry have four children, including daughters Riley and Ryan and sons Canon and Caius. The family's youngest child, Caius, was born in May, so he has an even longer wait before he can join the NBA.
For now, Curry's children will watch their father's games from the sidelines as he and the Warriors look to return to the playoff picture next spring.
