Drake revealed that his 2016 song "Too Good," which featured Rihanna, is about him and Serena Williams.

That information was revealed amid Drake's massive drop of unreleased music as well as behind-the-scenes footage and clips of him in the studio. In this clip, Drake is having a conversation with his mother, Sandi Graham, about the track.

"This is more about me and Serena," Drake said. Graham replied that she "gathered that," before Drake responded.

"...If I'm gonna talk about [women], I'll at least do them the justice of making them a song that they like," Drake said. "So, I know Serena very well and I know that she'll hear it loud and clear, but she'll also not hate me for it because it's lighthearted."

Drake and Williams were longtime friends who were then rumored to be dating in 2015.

In Dec. 2016, Williams became engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. They are married with two daughters.

On the tennis court, Williams won 23 Grand Slam women's singles titles and four Olympic gold medals, among many other accolades. She retired in September 2022.
