The New Era hats feature the number of each player on the side in a unique design and will be worn from Aug. 16 through Aug. 18.

Players' Weekend was originally held on an annual basis from 2017-19, although it didn't return due to a shortened season in 2020. There are some changes to the 2024 edition of the event, as players will no longer wear custom designed uniforms or have their nicknames on the back of each jersey.

Instead, they'll be able to use personalized bats and wear specially designed cleats in addition to the new caps.

The 2024 Players' Weekend will feature themes on each day, as Day 1 will focus on the personalities, friendships and off-field interests for players (h/t Theo DeRosa of MLB.com). The second day will highlight charitable and community initiatives that are important to athletes while Day 3 celebrates the people that helped players on their journey to the majors.

The weekend will also feature several marquee matchups, such as the Little League Classic between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers on Aug. 18.
