Olympic 2024 Medal Count: Final Tally, Winners from Day 15 Early Events

Team USA has some work to do in the final 24 hours of competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics to win all aspects of the medal race.

China took a four-gold lead on the United States on Saturday morning to move its total gold count to 37.

The United States is expected to at least tie that number if it wins both basketball gold-medal games and in women's soccer and one more gold in track and field.

Team USA did not come up empty from Saturday morning's events, though, as two silvers were added to the overall medal count of 113.

Team USA took home a pair of silver medals on Saturday morning in sport climbing and the canoe sprint.

Brooke Raboutou became the first American woman to medal in sport climbing with her silver in the women's boulder and lead competition.

Raboutou picked up the second overall sport climbing medal in Paris for the United States. Sam Watson earned a bronze in the men's speed event earlier this week.

Nevin Harrison earned the best American finish in any of the canoe/kayak events at the Paris Games with a silver medal in the women's canoe single 200-meter event.

Harrison finished behind Canada's Katie Vincent in the sprint event. It was the second medal for Team USA in Paris in canoeing. Evy Leibfarth won bronze in the canoe slalom event.

Team USA has earned more silver medals than gold and bronze in Paris. The two second-place finishes on Saturday gave the Americans 41 silver medals.

China once again took gold in a diving event on Saturday.

The Chinese completed their clean sweep of the gold medal stands in diving with Cao Yuan's win in the men's 10-meter springboard. That was the first time in Olympic history that a single nation won all the gold medals in diving.

China also added to its gold medal tally with a win in the women's table tennis team event.

The gap of four golds is a huge one to make up with 24 hours left in competition, but it is one the Americans can make up.

Team USA is expected to win gold in both basketball finals and is favored to win first place in women's soccer.

One or two more wins in track and field will at least help Team USA tie China by the end of the Paris Games.
