As a four-time NBA champion, Steph Curry has had plenty of iconic games.

His Golden State Warriors and Team USA coach Steve Kerr, who has been around for all of those games, believes his performance in Saturday's Olympic gold-medal game against France was one of the best of his career.

"It's right up there with all of the greatest games of his career," Kerr said on NBC after the game. "The shotmaking was just incredible. But under the circumstances, on the road, in Paris against France for a gold medal. This is storybook stuff. But that's what Steph does. He likes to be in storybooks."

Curry had 24 points on Saturday, getting all of his buckets from deep as he drained eight three-pointers to lead Team USA to a 98-87 win.

Of Curry's eight three-pointers, four of them came in the final three minutes of the game. The first of that stretch gave the United States a two-possession lead. With under two minutes left, Curry hit threes on back-to-back possessions to keep France at bay. Finally, he drained one with 35 seconds left to make it a nine-point game, which served as the dagger in the gold-medal game.

Curry's lights-out performance from deep came as the legendary shooter competed in his first Olympic final. Despite his long list of accomplishments throughout his career, being crowned a gold medalist was something he had yet to achieve.

Against a tough France squad highlighted by rising star Victor Wembanyama, he ensured that the gold medal ended up in Team USA's hands.

What's more, his signature performance on Saturday was arguably his second-best game of the Olympics. On Thursday, Curry dropped 36 points and eight rebounds on 9-of-14 from deep to lead the United States in a fourth-quarter comeback against Serbia. Curry was just one point away from tying Carmelo Anthony's single-game scoring record for Team USA.

But as Kerr mentioned, the circumstances of Saturday's game make Curry's performance all the more impressive. The United States faced a team fueled by a hometown crowd, but Curry still managed to find his shot and quiet those in attendance.
