PGA Tour Releases 2025 Schedule for Masters, Players Championship, All Tournaments
August 14, 2024
The PGA Tour introduced a revamped schedule model for the 2024 season, and its success so far will see it stick around for another year.
On Wednesday, the PGA Tour revealed the dates for its 39 events during the 2025 campaign, and it will follow the model implemented this season:
"The new schedule and competitive changes introduced in 2024 were significant steps toward creating the best version of the PGA TOUR for our fans and players," PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said in a press release. "Fields were significantly stronger across the board, while the Signature Events provided fans more opportunities to see the PGA TOUR's best competing head-to-head."
The first 36 events make up the regular season and will include the Players Championship in March, the four major championships, and eight signature events. The regular season will be followed by the three-event FedEx Cup Playoffs in August. The FedEx Cup champion will be crowned at the TOUR Championship. The 2025 FedEx Cup fall schedule to determine eligibility for the 2026 season will be announced at a later date.
"As we enter the second year of this reimagined schedule, one thing remains a constant — winning on the PGA TOUR continues to rank among the most difficult and rewarding accomplishments in sport," Monahan added. "We are grateful to the entire membership, especially our Player Directors and Player Advisory Council, as well as our tournaments and partners."
In addition to events contested across 18 states in the U.S., the 2025 schedule will feature events in Mexico, Canada, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
