Amid an ongoing holdout over his contract, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has reportedly received a contract offer from the Dallas Cowboys that would put him among the league's highest-paid receivers per year.

Per The Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins, the offer Lamb received is "slightly under $33 million per season."

Watkins noted that it is not known how much Lamb is seeking per year.

The highest-paid wide receiver in 2024 will be Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson, who will make $35 million after signing a historic four-year, $140 million contract this offseason. If Lamb accepted the deal for around $33 million a year, it would likely make him the second-highest-paid receiver in the NFL.

It would put him above stars like AJ Brown ($32 million per year), Amon-Ra St. Brown ($30.002 million per year) and Tyreek Hill ($30 million per year).

According to Watkins, Lamb initially wanted a historic offer like Jefferson's, one that would give him the largest non-quarterback contract in NFL history, but he has since gone back on that statement. Instead, he now just wants to be in the same ballpark as Jefferson.

And the best season of his career last year proves that he's worth it. Lamb, in his fourth NFL campaign, led the league in receptions with 135, had the second-most receiving yards with 1,749 and had the third-most receiving touchdowns with 12.

The Cowboys are hoping to get that same kind of production from Lamb this season, and if he is satisfied with their offer, it could end his holdout.
