Video: Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey Kicks 66-Yard Field Goal vs. Raiders, Thrills NFL Fans
August 18, 2024
Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey drilled home a 66-yard field goal during Saturday night's preseason action against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Had Aubrey made the kick during the regular season, it would have tied the NFL record for the longest field goal ever made in a game.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott were both visibly impressed by the kick.
Football fans watching from home were also wowed with how easily Aubrey matched the distance of the regular-season record.
Aubrey told The Athletic's Dianna Russini last December that he believed he could hit a 70-yard field goal in an NFL game. That would come in four yards over the record set in 2021 by Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker.
After seeing the apparent ease with which Aubrey put the ball over the crossbar Saturday night, some NFL fans believe he could hit the mark this season.
Aubrey, signed by the Cowboys out of the USFL, set NFL records during his rookie Pro Bowl season with 99 touchbacks and 35 straight field goals to open his career.
The second-year kicker could set more league standards this fall. If Saturday's field goal is any indication, Aubrey is capable of breaking Tucker's record if he gets a scoring chance from at least 67 yards out during the regular season.
