On Tuesday, he offered an epic callback ahead of the New York Mets' matchup against the Baltimore Orioles:
It was enough to rile up the crowd, though it's fair to question if it had any effect on the players—at the time of publication, the Mets were losing, 6-1.
James, who most famously starred in the King of Queens television show, is a hardcore Mets fan, even naming his daughter Shea after the team's former home, Shea Stadium.
"Say what you want about my movies, my career, my weight, have fun," he once said on a WOR sports talk radio show in 2016. "Three things are undeniable: My faith, my family and my loyalty to the Mets."
That much seemed clear on Tuesday.
