Ben Stiller Teases Return for 'Happy Gilmore 2' Cast with Adam Sandler
August 22, 2024
It appears there may be even more star power in Happy Gilmore 2.
On Wednesday, Ben Stiller responded to a question asking if he will be in the sequel by saying, "Warming the glass."
Stiller played Hal L., an orderly in a nursing home, in the original movie. His response on social media appears to be referencing one of his character's famous quotes in which he told the title character's grandmother she "can trouble me for a warm glass of shut-the-hell-up" when she asked for a glass of warm milk.
While it remains to be confirmed that Stiller will be in the sequel, sports fans will recognize one of the actors.
Adam Sandler, who plays the main character in Happy Gilmore, revealed on The Tonight Show that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will be in the sequel.
The original movie is now considered a comedy classic, and the sequel will give a new audience an opportunity to become familiar with the characters. Netflix announced in May that "Happy Gilmore is back! Adam Sandler will reprise his iconic role in a brand new movie coming to Netflix."
Stiller may be back as well.
