Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown is known for his eclectic interests off the court, and his latest endeavor is a foray into the music world.

The 2024 NBA Finals MVP teamed with hip-hop artist Ferg for his new single "Just Do It," and he dropped the music video on Thursday night after previously teasing it:

Brown later posted a clip of an old Ferg interview in which he was asked which NBA player he'd like to have featured on a song with him. The hip-hop artist was quick to reply with Brown because he "got the heat."

Additionally, Brown posted on X that he's "having a great summer" despite not making the USA Olympic roster:

I'm having a great summer not gone lie

Of course, "Just Do It" has long been the tagline of Nike, so it appears Brown is using his single to send a message.

Brown, who has been a sneaker free agent since his deal with Adidas expired in 2021, called out Nike for dropping Kyrie Irving for posting antisemitic material on social media and has been seen wearing Nike shoes with the "swoosh" logo removed.

After it was announced that Brown's Celtics teammate, Derrick White, would receive the place vacated by Kawhi Leonard on the Team USA roster for the Paris Olympics, the California product called out Nike in a tweet indicating that the shoe brand influenced the decision:

After helping to lead the Boston Celtics to their 18th NBA championship, he has taken the time to enjoy himself this summer. He recently was on vacation in Bahrain, where he showed off his underwater workouts.

All signs point to Brown being ready for an even bigger year with the Celtics in 2024-25. The upcoming release of his new single is a sign that he's ready to reveal more sides of himself to the world both on and off the court.
