United States, International Championship Predictions

3 of 3

Chinese-Taipei of the Asia-Pacific Region has been the best team in the entire tournament to this point; an unbeaten force that has shown an ability to dominate from the lead or come back and win against tough competition.

They team has outscored opponents 32-3 in this year's tournament, and there's no reason to believe that dominance won't continue in the International Championship game against a Venezuela team out of the Latin America Region that has rendered at least one run in every game except its win over Mexico.

Two tickets were punched to Championship games yesterday at the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/LLWS?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#LLWS</a>! <a href="https://t.co/buK9lzUQxK">pic.twitter.com/buK9lzUQxK</a>

Venezuela can score, putting up 27 points in five games, but it has also given up seven across that stretch. If it cannot hold Chinese-Taipei to two runs or less, it's going to be incredibly tough for the team to cash its ticket to Sunday's LLWS title game.

In the American bracket, Texas and Florida meet for the second time in five days.

Texas bested Florida in their first matchup, 4-1. It wasn't a particularly close game and the team out of Boerne has been the best in the United States bracket throughout the tournament. It's outscored opponents 18-3 but has only played in three games as a result.

    What a swing from Garrett Rohozen ☄️<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/LLWS?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#LLWS</a> <a href="https://t.co/wIzOJE0ZQ9">pic.twitter.com/wIzOJE0ZQ9</a>

Florida, meanwhile, has played in six games in this tournament, scoring 28 and allowing 10.

There will be some who claim Texas is too rested and prime for an upset, but the team has had both a four-day and a two-day layoff and won both of its subsequent games.

Florida was outmatched in the first game and, while the United States Championship Game is an entirely different beast, there's no reason to believe it can't hang with a familiar foe just three days after their last matchup.

    International Prediction: Chinese-Taipei
