The 2024 NFL season has gotten underway with a pair of close, exciting games. On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs began their Super Bowl title defense with a 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Then, on Friday, the Philadelphia Eagles held off the Green Bay Packers for a 34-29 victory.

Now, it's time for a packed Sunday slate.

The first Sunday of the NFL season will bring 13 games, so it'll be a big day for every type of football fan. That includes those who dive into either the fantasy or daily fantasy world.

For the latter, there are lots of players to consider for DFS lineups. Here are some tips to consider when setting a DraftKings lineup to try to earn cash prizes this Sunday.

Build Around a Strong Dolphins Stack

There are plenty of value DFS plays for Week 1. But why not spend up to create a stack that you know will generate a whopping amount of points for your lineup?

The Miami Dolphins should again have a high-powered offense this season, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa ($7,000) and wide receiver Tyreek Hill ($8,700) leading the way. The prices for both will be high on DraftKings on Sunday, but they should produce large outputs.

During a home matchup vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Dolphins will likely have the ability to air it out with Tagovailoa. And when he's doing that, it usually leads to a big day for Hill.

Tagovailoa got off to a strong start last season (eight passing touchdowns through three weeks), so feel confident in him opening on a great note again in 2024.

Ford Will Be Strong Play at Affordable Value

The Cleveland Browns will be without their star running back to open the season, as Nick Chubb is guaranteed to miss at least the first four games while rehabbing from a knee injury. That makes Jerome Ford the unquestioned lead back in the team's offense.

Yet, Ford ($5,500) comes at quite an affordable price for Week 1 lineups on DraftKings. The 24-year-old should get plenty of touches on Sunday, and he should make the most of them during the Browns' opening contest at home vs. the Dallas Cowboys.

Last year, Ford showed some promise while filling in for Chubb at times. He finished with 813 rushing yards, 319 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns.

It's quite possible Ford will take a step forward now that he has more NFL experience. He'll certainly get an opportunity to get off to a strong start for Cleveland.

Take a Flier on Sleeper Bengals WR

Plenty of fantasy managers are concerned regarding the status of Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on Sunday. Chase (rest/illness) is listed as questionable, while Higgins (hamstring) is doubtful to suit up vs. the New England Patriots.

It could be wise to capitalize in the DFS format by starting Bengals receiver Andrei Iosivas ($3,000) at a low price. Although the 24-year-old didn't touch the ball a ton as a rookie last season (15 catches for 116 yards), he still scored four touchdowns.

On Sunday, quarterback Joe Burrow will have to throw the ball to somebody. If both Chase and Higgins are out (or even if only Higgins is sidelined), then Iosivas has a chance for a breakout performance.

Even though there's risk involved, it's worth taking a flier on Iosivas to see what may happen.
